Ms. Gorton's philosophy
Unlike many other ovum donor agencies, Ms. Gorton develops an individual relationship with each donor. To initiate this relationship, either Ms. Gorton or the Program Coordinator has a personalized interview with each donor. During that meeting, she reviews the donor health history and explains the medical process, the time commitment involved, and the possible risks. Ms. Gorton wants each candidate to have the support necessary to meet the commitments of egg donation.

Donor Interview
Ms. Gorton or the Program Coordinator meets with each donor to confirm her family health history data and to explain the egg donation process. This is the time for egg donors to have their questions answered about the medical procedure, timing, side effects, and typical characteristics of recipients.
Supplemental Materials
Recipients choose donors with similar values and characteristics. The more thorough the description of the donor, the easier it is for the recipients to determine if this donor is an approriate match.
To build a strong profile, Ms. Gorton requests that all donor candidates provide childhood and family photos. She also collects certificates of training and college transcripts.
