Jacquelyne Gorton, Nurse Attorney, Inc. as one of the foremost egg donation and surrogate parenting agencies provides comprehensive and compassionate services to clients around the world who may be married, single, or gay. Jacquelyne is a licensed attorney and psychiatric clinical nurse specialist in the state of California, a member of Sigma Theta Tau (the International Nursing Honor Society), the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and Resolve. We submit self-reported donor health histories to fertility clinic staff for determination if candidates qualify according to FDA regulations. We follow FDA guidelines in an initial evaluation of the donor's suitability, but FDA requires that the medical staff makes the final determination whether or not the candidate may proceed with a donation cycle. We support and lead you throughout the entire egg donation and/or surrogate parenting process from your initial inquiry until the delivery of your baby.

We are a vital member of your team of physicians, attorneys, and psychologists that manages your egg donation and/or surrogacy cycle. Any anxiety or question that you may have will be promptly addressed by the combined expertise of this team approach. Our staff is available to you seven days a week and after hours. Furthermore, we will make weekend appointments to accommodate your busy schedule. We pride ourselves in educating each donor and surrogate on the process and risks involved in donation or surrogacy. We complete background checks as you request, we verify that our candidates are available each month and remove those candidates that are no longer qualified. Excluding out-of-state candidates, we have personally met with each of our candidates in a face-to-face interview. Additionally, we collect a very detailed self-reported family health history on each candidate, recent and past photos of the candidate and her family members, and the statistical results of her previous donation(s). HIPPA guidelines are followed in obtaining the medical records of a donor’s previous stimulations and/or a surrogate’s pre-natal/delivery medical records, which are forwarded to your physician.

Your success rate is assured because our thorough preliminary screening is forwarded to your physician. We screen candidates for risk factors that could inhibit the outcome of your cycle. First the candidate is screened over the phone and then we complete an in-person evaluation of her family health history at our office unless she is an out-of-state donor then this evaluation is completed over the phone and by email.

We provide contracts for egg donation and surrogate parenting services. The contracts are drafted pursuant to the Uniform Parentage Act, California Family Code Sections 7600 et. seq., California’s Alternative Reproduction Act (SB1160) and other pertinent case law such as Buzzanca v. Buzzanca (98C.D.O.S. 1782) and Roe v. Wade, 410 US 113 (1973),

Jacquelyne Gorton has the expertise to carefully facilitate your ovum donation and/or surrogate parenting cycle so as to maximize your success. We often make suggestions of specific donors that may suit your needs as we have determined from our discussions with you. Her office has been creating families since 1995 and has outstanding references upon request.

In the News...

" (Jackie Gorton's) is an application process unlike any other. Candidates must meet height and weight restrictions. Ideally, they must have some schooling beyond high school. Those callers who make it through the telephone interview are sent a 16- page application requesting information on everything from their paternal grandfather's eye color to whether their aunts or uncles ever suffered a heart attack or stroke. Ms Gorton's agency encourages meetings between donors and recipients, but many such agencies do not." ---- New York Times Magazine
