Surrogate Qualifications

Gestionational surrogates must meet the follow qualifications to be accepted to our pool:

• Ages 21-37
• Height/weight proportionate
• Nicotine and drug free
• Have delivered at least one child with a healthy pregnancy
• Reliable and responsible - can keep appointments at Bay Area fertility clinics scheduled with short notice
• Are willing to carry a maximum of twins

Health History Questionnaire

Call our office at (415) 485-1969 to complete a phone interview. Then complete the questionnaire in the link below. Answer all questions thoroughly. Once the application is approved, Ms. Gorton will contact candidates within three business days to schedule a personalized interview.

Surrogate Interview

Ms. Gorton meets with each surrogate candidate to confirm her family health history data and to explain the surrogacy process. This is the time for surrogates and their partners to have their questions answered about the medical procedure's timing and side effects, legal issues, and the typical characteristics of the surrogate - intended parent relationship.

Supplemental Materials

Ms. Gorton's office asks that all surrogate candidates request a letter from their OB or primary care physician clearing them for a surrogate pregnancy.

To build a strong profile, Ms. Gorton requests that all surrogate candidates provide family photos so that the intended parents reviewing the profile can get an idea of the surrogate's family support.
